Putting EBPs into Practice: Parent Implemented Interventions

The National Clearinghouse on Autism Evidence and Practice released the 2020 Evidence-Based Practices Report identifying 28 evidence-based practices (EBPs) for autism. Parent Implemented Interventions (PII) is one of the 28 EBPs identified. This training will explain what Parent Implemented Interventions is, when it can be used and what makes it effective. Examples of how PII can be implemented will be shared as well as how it can be used to support individual’s success in various domains. Participants will view an online module together stopping throughout the module to discuss the information, practice the skills and make various support to take back for immediate use.

By the end of the training participants will be able to identify the components of PII, name various activities where PII can be used, identify how PII will be used to support at least one individual with autism.

Intended Audience

Special education teachers, general education teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, SLPs, OTs, parents and clinicians.
