Putting EBPs into Practice - Antecedent-Based Interventions

Category: Autism (Regional, On-site, and Online Training)
Posted on 10/26/2020
The National Clearinghouse on Autism Evidence and Practice released the 2020 Evidence-Based Practices Report identifying 28 evidence-based practices (EBPs) for autism. Antecedent-Based Interventions (ABI) is one of the 28 EBPs identified. This training will discuss antecedent-based interventions, when they are used, how to choose one and why they are effective. Examples of various ABI will be shared demonstrating how they can support student success in various domains. Participants will view an online module together stopping throughout the module to discuss the information, practice using ABI and make various supports to take back for immediate use.

By the end of the training participants will be able to identify at least 3 examples of ABI, name the appropriate time to use ABI, identify at least 2 ABI to use with one individual with autism and when they will be used.
